Yay August is over!! Man, August on the mission is definitely a bit of a challenge. Besides the fact that it’s super duper hot and humid, everyone goes on vacation! So all the people we had been working with before August are finally getting back from vacation today and tomorrow, so now we won’t have to do quite as much tracting and a lot more teaching. Whoohoo!! This week we had a tonnnnnnnnnn of lessons fall through. A total of 12, actually. So basically, by the end of the week, my testimony of the importance of solid back up plans has grown a lot, haha. But on the cool side, a couple of days ago, one of our appointments fell through, so we decided to go talk to people in one of the parks by the church. And we met this really awesome Filipina lady and her adorable little family 🙂 So hopefully we’ll be able to meet with them soon! We now have 3 or 4 Filipino families to follow up on and I’m sooooo excited 🙂 This week is going to be awesome, we have tons of potentials AND all of our investigators will be back from vacation. It’s gonna be a good one! 🙂
We had zone conference this week here in Palermo, so half of the missionaries in Sicily came over, consisting of 18 elders and us 4 sisters. Our trainings were about the importance of working with the members to help with the work. It was pretty good, giving a training all by myself wasn’t my favorite thing ever, but it went pretty well, haha. And it was so great, 4 of our ward missionaries came! Ahh they’re SO AMAZING; they’re all YSA’s who have been baptized within the last year and they have such solid testimonies, it’s incredible! 🙂 They’re definitely among my favorite people in Italy.
I hope everyone has a great start to the new school year!! Fate i bravi, mi raccomando! 🙂
